What To Do With Demands for Empathy

A person who claims victimhood often demands your empathy.

In the moment of demanding your empathy, they are extremely self-centered. Nothing matters more than their feelings.

Simultaneously, they demand of you that you put their feelings above your own reason and/or feelings.

It is a double-standard, and as such, means that the person's arguments whatever they are (and perhaps the person, entirely) deserve to be dismissed.

No one who betrays that they demand more of others than themselves deserves a hearing.
